Job Details:
- Days: 5 days per week, Monday – Friday 8:00-5:00 PM
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
- Hourly Rate: $40 -$50 per hour.

A Port Jervis family is looking for an experienced Caretaker/Gardener/ Landscaper. The client is looking for someone who will be reliable and provide excellent attention to detail. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable, have prior experience maintaining, be proactive, have great communication skills, and be able to operate machines and drive a tractor.
A Port Jervis family is looking for an experienced Caretaker/Gardener/ Landscaper. The client is looking for someone who will be reliable and provide excellent attention to detail. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable, have prior experience maintaining, be proactive, have great communication skills, and be able to operate machines and drive a tractor.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Planting shrubs, flowers, trees, etc.
- Tree care
- Mulching
- Maintain walking trails.
- Flower care includes staking, dividing, and deadheading.
- Sodding, mulching, edging, pruning, and trimming trees.
- Spring cleanup.
- Autumn clean up.
- Exterior cleanup.
- Snow removal and snow maintenance.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance including changes in light bulbs, filters, etc.
- Assures exterior walkways are clean and clear of any hazards.
- Maintain all tools and equipment.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience working with a private family.
- Tools knowledge
- Ability to recognize safety hazards and take precautionary measures to protect self and others.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to heavy items and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
